We talked about how Maslow defines the needs of the individuals but I feel more represented by Hofstede, which says that you can by unsatisfied and motivated at the same time: I am working as an intern and I don’t get paid a lot (short salary is a cause of unsatisfaction and good salary is a cause of not-unsatisfaction) but I am doing something which really motivates me because I think it’s good for my network and my competences.
The space to grow the potential of an individual causes motivation while the no-space causes unmotivation.
At this age in fact, I prefer to stay in a challenging and fast changing environment, that motivates me and drives me to work better, than to get paid a lot and have free time.
